View Full Version : Pokemon Alpha (WIP)

15th July 2013, 03:49 PM
Hello fellow Pokemon Fans! Today I present to you a brand new Pokemon hack I have been working on for a while. The name, is Pokemon Alpha. I have provided screenshots below regarding different areas of the game such as tilesets, screenshots, plot etc. Leave any suggestions below!

You are an aspiring beginner trainer taking his/her first steps into the world of Pokemon! The Johto region was decimated in a war between factions of humans long ago. However, after decades of reconstruction, a new region was built in its place. The Flora region. Almost everything was built from square one; everything, except the Ruins of Alph that remained in their original positions, untouched. You set out to tackle the Pokemon Gym Challenge and conquer the legendary trainers of the Elite Four. You say farewell to your mother, father and little sister and leave your hometown!

Will be added at a later date.

Currently being worked on by moi, stay tuned.

Features already implemented:

Shiny Route System (Golden Road)
Day/Cycle (need some assistance with this)
Custom tilesets (will be selected before trailer is released)
That's it. Suggest something you would like to see!

diegoisawesome for his amazing XSE tutorial!
Catman for his occasional insight and opinions.
Linkandzelda for his badass tileset!
The Rower; for being the Rower.

I hope you enjoy playing the game as much as I have making it!

Demo coming hopefully before Christmas '13!

Moved to Ideas, Concepts & WIP forum. You should have posted it there initially.

I'm leaving this thread up because you said you'd return with some progress, but what was the point of posting this? Refer to this (http://www.romhackersonline.com/showthread.php?t=14177-Ideas-Concepts-and-WIP-Guidelines-READ-THIS-BEFORE-POSTING) thread...the first point.

My Windows Partition has corrupted on my HDD, thankfully, the project files were stored on my USB stick so they were left untouched, but I have to purchase another copy of Windows 7 and then install said partition.

In other news, Sappy has been a pain in my ***.

Sorry for a lack of updates.

I apologise for the lack of updates on this project. The reason being that I lack the computer to complete the project. So for now, it is on hiatus. However, I will be buying a new computer in about 2 weeks, so the project will resume then.

Sorry everyone :p
