This is a patch containing JPAN's save block recycling ASM routine. The routine is placed from A00000-A000E8. It consolidateing the save blocks in FireRed to free up a good amount of ram which can then be used for other projects. The link to the origional post in which he posted his routine is here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/showpos...&postcount=206

This patch is for a clean FireRed BPRE v.1.0:
JPAN's save_block_recycle_routine.ips

This instructions for inserting this routine by hand are not all that clear which is why I was advocated by Jambo51 to post it after he helped me install it on FireRed. Some credit also goes to shinyquagsire for the location of where to place the pointer to the routine.

Here's my FireRed patch that skips the choice of gender and limits you to only one, like in every game before Crystal:
http://www.mediafire.com/?wwb0cujuyy7wt7t
And don't worry about conflicts with existing data; no free space is taken up.

Bored, so I made the 64x64 Keldeo Sprite. Well, you can see (or not?), my Sprite is smaller than the original one, because I resized the Sprite to fits 56x56, I don't why did I do it. xD

Anyways, it's in the attachments. No need to credit (but it'd be good if you do). Also, it's indexed, so have fun!

EDIT: Added the Cue Ball (or whatever it called) Sprite! Please give credit for this, it took me many minutes! It's indexed too.

Yet another gender choice skip patch, but this one for Emerald:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/58...Emerald%29.ips

As with the one for FireRed, the patch will not conflict with anything.

I feel really odd about triple posting, but I made another patch today:
The Pokémon Emerald Intro Enhancement Patch
http://www.mediafire.com/download/zj...o+Enhancer.ips

As per usual, this patch does not conflict with anything.

I'm just going to consolidate all the little bits of information, knowledge and assets I've collated and created over the years (and kept, at least). This is all for FireRed unless specified otherwise, by the way.

Hoenn badges in the style of HG/SS Badges.

playsong2 is supposed to be used in 0x3-type level scripts to automatically play the song specified instead of the song that map usually plays.

For example:

Code:
#dynamic 0x800000

'---------------
#org @start
compare 0x40C6 0x0
if 0x1 call @snippet1
end

'---------------
#org @snippet1
playsong2 0x15A
return
Would play the song 0x15A as soon as the map is loaded so long as 0x40C6 is set to 0x0, and, if it isn't, the song that is set to be the map's music on AMap will play as usual. playsong, on the other hand, would not work in this situation as there would be a couple of seconds of delay.

I dunno if I'm just really slow, but if others didn't know this then there's no harm in posting it. (Now that I think about it, this is probably obvious as movesprite2 is another command that's specifically for level scripts)

0x3CC984 - Trainer Card Back Tilemap
0x3CCEC8 - Trainer Card Background Tilemap
0x3CD5E8 - Badges
0x3CC368 - Trainer Card Stickers
0xE99198 - Palettes (first is the Trainer Card itself (and the stickers? I think), then the background for males, then the background for females)

To change the map you start off in and the co-ordinates the Player is at:

0x54A00: Player Y Position
0x54A04: Map Bank
0x54A06: Map Number
0x54A08: Player X Position

I made a really specific calculator yesterday that finds out the offset of a Pokémon's data (where its type is determined, etc.) in a FireRed ROM.

sphericalice.co/romhacking/calculator

I doubt anyone will need it, but I found it useful because once I implemented the Fairy-type to my hack, many tools were incompatible, so giving Pokémon the Fairy-type could only be done via hex editing, and this calculator just sped that process up.

Here are some custom FireRed-styled tiles that I've made. You don't need to ask for permission, but please credit me if you do use these.

XSE's ordinary std files have some specials, but my new stdspecial.rbh includes a lot more. stdani is also included, and lists handful of animations for you to use while scripting with XSE.

Download now. (Mirror)
