For some people yes and for some people no. Sprites like that look like they're flying... xD So it's much better if your using OW's with walking frames.

the character in question is supposed to be a 'ghost' anyway so the flying thing might be a good idea. XD

okay, I want to make a script for the map (a script event like the ones that make professor oak go "hey wait!" when you attempt to leave town the first time)

what do I put in the header settings for the script if I only want it to happen once. If a certain flag is set it does something else, but I only want that to happen once, the thing that happens when the flag isn't set I want to happen every time.

You definitely should read my tutorials it fully explains that... :3

You just use a script box and use the checkflag command to check if the flag that you want has been set. And use the setvar command if the flag has already been set so the script won't happen again.

And this thread is for people to get help from their scripts this kind of things should be posted in scripting tutorial threads so it will go with the topic.

I am having problems with XSE I keep getting the problem where each time I open a script in advance map it opens XSE but gives me the message "Error 76 path not found" with nothing written in XSE but when I play the game the script is working

I know that XSE actually is having a critical problem loading itself up because it's updater path is corrupted. If you can find the Settings.ini file (which should be in the same folder as the program itself), go into it and toggle the 'AutoUpdateCheck' line to equal 0. What you mention has a different error code though... so I'm not sure.
When loading it in A-map, reset XSE's status as it's script editor and when you get the dialog about syntax choose the option 'no'.

Many hackers are always searching for a fix to this error in XSE maybe we should put up a FAQ in Rom Hacking, so it will lessen hackers that won't know about it.

When using the warphole command in firered, ca you specify the coordinates it warps you to? And if not, which coordinates does it warp you to by default?
