Found that script you were looking for about the Pokeballs. Really simple edit. It's just one of the triggers in the lab. There are two on top of each other though, you'd want to temporarily drag the top one to the side and then tell it to open the bottom one's script. Alternately, you could just load the rom in PKSV and manually decompile from this location

Droomph, it's not so much difficulty as whether or not we'd want to. However it seems to be something people would be interested in, so I'll have a word with Pia about it and see if there is a chance of it at some point. No promises though obviously

Well, I've ran into another minor bug. It seems that because I deleted the Pokeballs for Chikorita and Cyndaquil, the Totodile ball will be there again after you return from Mr. Pokémon's house. Again, minor, but I'd like it to go for good xD

I think that's going to be in the map scripts for the lab maybe. I seem to remember having something weird like that happen in Pokemon Christmas (where there is a 4th Pokeball off to the side that has Kris's Marill in it, that the player can't choose) I'll look back into how I fixed this. I think it was some combination of the map's script and maybe something Mr.Pokemon's house does.
