'Welcomes' Forum Rules
In the interest of preserving the fun, members who post in this forum must stick to a certain set of rules. After all, without rules the world (or in this case the community) would be chaotic, and chaos is never fun.
Provide Minimal InformationIf you're a new or returning member, everyone on the forums would love to have the honor of welcoming you! Sadly, it would be quite difficult for anyone to efficiently reply to your thread if they know nothing about you. As such, it is crucial that you provide minimal information about yourself in your welcome thread. There is no specific set of information that we require, but anything ranging from your interests and hobbies to your career and preferred color would be just great!
Threads without at least a little amount of information will be closed until the issue is resolved. Be NiceIf you're on the welcoming side, be sure to be nice and warm when you greet your new fellow members. Everyone was, at some point, new to forums and how they operate, so don't get held up on a small mistake a new member might make. Always be welcoming with an open heart and kind words!
Any rude, mean, or otherwise insulting replies will be deleted, and their owner infracted accordingly. Leaving ThreadsLeaving threads are not permitted. If you are leaving or taking a short break/hiatus, post in the Leave of Absence thread, which you can find here. Post a Constructive Welcoming ReplyIf you are on the welcoming side, please try to avoid short and meaningless welcome replies. Some examples are:- "Hey there Jim, welcome to PHO!"
- "Welcome to the forums, I hope you have fun!"
The above examples are very frowned upon, and possibly prohibited under moderator discretion. Please try to reply with helpful and constructive posts as much as possible. All Global Forum Rules ApplyAnd you can find them here.
