Angry Pokemon Advance Sprite 'Glitch'

I have another problem with events, but this time it is with sprites. Every time I place a sprite in one spot, in this example, along a path, I give it the correct/basic scripts. However, when I test it via VisualBoyAdvance Emulator, it moves the sprite to another part of the map, for instance, on the WATER. And no matter where I put the sprite/person event, it goes right back to the same place: on the water. May I have some more help?

Does it stay in that spot within Advance Map?
If it does, my guess is that there's a level script causing this.
What is the original map you're using?

I am using the Cerulean City Map from FireRed, and yes, I have deleted all events before changing the map.
