Black Charizard
Default Gateway 3DS

This is a recently released new flash card which works like a sort of swap game (only with micro sdhc) system. It was patched after version 4.5 of the 3Ds so I don't recommend buying it yet until you are certain it gets a sort of firmware upgrade to fix it with newer 3ds firmware.
But has anyone ordered one already? or tryd it? I'm quite curious if it works properly or it's still to early to order.

Lets also share all info we have about this so we can create a sort of knowledge base in this first post.

Knowledge Base
- Gateway 3DS currently doesn't work with 3DS firmware version V4.5 or > (greater).

I kinda want to get one, but I might find an older 3DS at a pawn shop that has an older firmware to use it on. If I can find something that has 4.5 or older, I'll but it and get a Gateway. But at a $80 pricepoint, I might wait for a drop in the price first.

So why would you guys want to emulate 3DS games where you could easily get two or three games on Steam for the same price and play them for practically no restrictions

……idk I've just never felt the need to really *invest* myself in that kind of stuff but I'm happy to see somebody is working on it! Maybe someday…i'll need it

Not really. Their newest firmware has the ability to backup the user's NAND on the system. It's gotten pretty far - it even has its own menu that's written in custom code - 3DS homebrew, essentially.

Good luck getting Mario Kart 7 on Steam, dear.

The Gateway 3ds could have a lot of use for people without the money to buy the games, or if you get into hacking 3ds games (good luck).

Or you could buy an Ouya and get all the games on there for free, so why even think about Steam when we're talking about 3DS? lol
